Super ATM: Multiple banks, single ATM

The UK's ATM network Link is testing a new type of cash machine, a "Super ATM" that can handle deposits and deposits for multiple banks. According to local sources, the first ATM has become operational in the Warwickshire region, and new ones are on the way.

With the number of physical bank branches decreasing across the kingdom, Super ATMs will make it easier for small business owners who often have to travel long distances to withdraw cash.

Martin McTague, National Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), said: “The decline in bank branches has left many people without vital services, especially small business owners. In this way, business owners will be able to safely deposit their daily income into their accounts without closing their shops early or traveling many kilometers. Super ATM technology, which is compatible with more than one bank, is an important innovation. "This technology will play an important role in making banking services available quickly and uninterruptedly."

New ATMs connected to the Link ATM network and established in partnership with NCR Atleos and Note Machine; Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Halifax, Lloyds, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank will accept cash deposits from their customers.
