90% of Klarna employees use AI every day

Klarna, one of the most notable payment companies of the recent period, is also one of the companies that adapts fastest to artificial intelligence. 90% of the company's employees use artificial intelligence for various jobs every day; The utilization rates of communication, marketing and legal units from this technology were 92.6%, 87.9% and 86.4%, respectively.

Klarna became one of the first companies to integrate ChatGPT into its operations when it was launched last year. The company developed a ChatGPT-based plugin to offer personalized product recommendations to shoppers.

The company, which has made a name for itself with its "Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)" service, is currently using the artificial intelligence-based assistant Kiki to answer personnel questions. Kiki answers around 2000 questions every day and produces answers within 1 to 5 seconds.

Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO and Co-Founder of Klarna, says that artificial intelligence increases productivity, while also reducing the time spent on administrative tasks, allowing employees to concentrate on strategic and creative tasks.

AI is also used by non-technical teams across Klarna; For example, the company's communications unit uses ChatGPT to objectively evaluate whether press articles are positive or negative for Klarna. Klarna's lawyers use ChatGPT Enterprise to create first drafts of various contract types, significantly reducing the time it takes to draft a contract.
